The Company considers the protection of natural resources, combating climate change, transitioning to a low-carbon economy, and reducing environmental impacts as an integral part of all its operations.
We operate with the awareness that the continuity and efficiency of our processes are possible only through conducting our activities in harmony with the environment, and we are committed to continuously improving our environmental performance. By placing a sustainable production approach at the core of its business strategy, our Company aims to continuously increase the value it creates for all stakeholders, society, and the environment by ensuring production in compliance with national and international environmental standards.
In this regard, Duran Doğan Basım ve Ambalaj San. A.Ş. adopts the following key principles:
• Applying preventive and risk-based approaches across all activities to prevent air, water, and soil pollution,
• Reducing environmental impacts by ensuring efficient use of energy, water, natural resources, and raw materials,
• Ensuring the regular calculation, monitoring, and management of greenhouse gas emissions in line with science-based reduction targets,
• Conducting initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improving energy efficiency, and supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy,
• Developing practices to enhance adaptation and resilience against the environmental and operational impacts of climate change,
• Assessing environmental impacts throughout the product life cycle and supporting eco design principles,
• Considering recyclability, reuse, and resource efficiency criteria in packaging design,
• Promoting the use of recyclable and environmentally friendly materials in all operations,
• Minimizing waste generation at the source and supporting the circular economy through reuse and recycling practices,
• Prioritizing the procurement of paper, cardboard, and wood-based raw materials from FSC, PEFC, or equivalent sustainable sources; monitoring and increasing the use of certified, recycled, or sustainably sourced materials,
• Evaluating suppliers based on environmental performance, legal compliance, ethical principles, human rights, occupational health and safety, and sustainability criteria, and extending sustainable procurement practices across the entire supply chain,
• Encouraging suppliers to improve their environmental management practices and requesting corrective action plans where necessary,
• Assessing and working to reduce indirect greenhouse gas emissions (Scope 3) arising from the supply chain, logistics operations, and purchased goods and services,
• Systematically evaluating environmental, social, and ethical risks within the supply chain and implementing improvement plans, monitoring, and audit processes for high risk suppliers where necessary,
• Managing the safe storage, handling, transportation, and disposal of chemicals in a manner that protects the environment and human health,
• Taking necessary measures to prevent environmental emergencies and accidents, minimize their impacts, and develop effective response mechanisms,
• Contributing to the protection of biodiversity and the reduction of adverse impacts on natural ecosystems,
• Ensuring full compliance with applicable national and international environmental regulations, customer requirements, and other obligations,
• Maintaining the validity and continuity of all required environmental permits, licenses, and official obligations,
• Setting targets, monitoring performance indicators, and conducting regular reviews to ensure continuous improvement in environmental performance,
• Regularly monitoring, reporting, and improving environmental performance indicators such as energy consumption, water usage, waste generation, and greenhouse gas emissions,
• Providing environmental awareness training to employees and encouraging active participation in sustainability objectives,
• Ensuring regular training for employees involved in procurement and supplier management to increase awareness of sustainable procurement, environmental compliance, social compliance, and ethical supply chain practices.
• Collaborating with all stakeholders, customers, and suppliers on environmental sustainability matters,
• Supporting corporate social responsibility and sustainability initiatives that contribute to raising environmental awareness in society.

A.Ş. considers reducing environmental impacts, minimizing the consumption of natural resources, improving energy efficiency, and maximizing waste recovery across all processes—from design to delivery—as its core responsibility. This policy is supported by top management and is reviewed and updated periodically to ensure its continued suitability and effectiveness.
