Duran Doğan Basım ve Ambalaj A.Ş. is dedicated to developing and implementing initiatives to raise awareness throughout society, starting with its employees, on the importance of protecting natural resources and promoting sustainable development. The company strives to leave a more livable world for future generations.

Duran Doğan Basım ve Ambalaj A.Ş. is committed to minimizing the negative impacts of its operations on the physical environment, in collaboration with the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), and has assumed a leading role in Turkey’s packaging industry. The company actively works on optimizing the use of natural resources while minimizing environmental pollution, all with a focus on maintaining a high quality of life for people, and being mindful of the need to use natural resources in a renewable and responsible way.

• Regularly volatile organic compound (VOC) analysis is conducted by an accredited organization.
• Recyclable materials (paper, plastic, etc.) are systematically collected through waste classification within the company for the most effective use of natural resources.
• Photovoltaic systems are employed at specific stations to reduce water and electricity consumption
• Waste oils (such as hydraulic oil) are disposed of at licensed waste incineration facilities.
• Hazardous waste generated by operations is directed to recycling companies licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
• Equipment that does not generate emissions, such as rechargeable forklifts is utilized.
• Office waste generated at business units is recycled through companies licensed by the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization.
• The waste inventory is assessed annually to evaluate environmental performance, with “Environmental Performance Reports” issued internally.
• New equipment is purchased in compliance with EU environmental standards.
• The company ensures adherence to EU regulations aimed at preventing environmental pollution.
